(Greek: κατὰ Ματθαῖον εὐαγγέλιον, kata Matthaion euangelion, τὸ εὐαγγέλιον κατὰ Ματθαῖον, to euangelion kata Matthaion) (Gospel of Matthew or simply Matthew) is one of the four canonical gospels, one of the three synoptic gospels, and the first book of the New Testament. It is dedicated to telling the story of Yeshua the Messsiah, the chosen one .

“As followers of Yeshua these 4 gospels represent the sole  evidence left of his teachings and as such should be regarded as the only reading suitable for new followers”.

We regard the old testament as being the property of the Jewish religion. Inspired by God yet written by man and constantly being written and rewritten to suit the needs of men at that particular moment in time. Just like every other religion Gods message eventually becomes diluted. Like it was in Yeshua`s time.

Where as Yeshua`s teachings are based on the strengthening of the original torah (The Laws or Rules given to Moses by God) Yet because Gods nation rejected Yeshua and his teachings Were eventually made available to all nations.

Yeshua told us that he would create a new wineskin in which to contain a new wine.

Meaning that through his death and subsequent resurrection. He created a new faith based religion that would be able to house a new way of living. built upon his teachings made possible through the power of love.

We are not trying to say that the bible is not important as it proves where Yeshua came from.  The state of the Jewish religion that existed at the time when he was born. More importantly it shows through the fullfilment of prophesies exactly how Yeshua fits into this epic adventure.

For instance we are told by this section of scripture. that Yeshua was born directly from the line of David the birth of Yeshua brought forth into fruition, old testament prophesy relating to the messiah who would come to set Gods people free.

Yet his teachings were rejected by the so called chosen nation of God (Gods People) And so the chance of salvation from death was eventually made available to all men. RockSolid Ministry

The Birth of Yeshua the Messiah,

18 Here is how the birth of Yeshua the Mashiach took place. When his mother Miryam  was engaged to Yosef, before they were married, she was found to be pregnant from the Ruach HaKodesh19 Her husband-to-be, Yosef,  was a man who did what was right; so he made plans to break the engagement quietly, rather than put her to public shame. 20 But while he was thinking about this, an angel of Adonai  appeared to him in a dream and said, “Yosef,  son of David, do not be afraid to take Miryam  home with you as your wife; for what has been conceived in her is from the Ruach HaKodesh21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Yehoshua(Yeshua) [which means ‘Adonai  saves,’] because he will save his people from their sins (Transgressions).”22 All this happened in order to fulfill what Adonai  had said through the prophet,23 “The virgin will conceive and bear a son,
and they will call him ‘Immanu El.”
(The name means, “God is with us.”)24 When Yosef  awoke he did what the angel of Adonai had told him to do — he took Miryam  home to be his wife, 25 but he did not have sexual relations with her until she had given birth to a son, and he named him Yehoshua.Animated_mary_joseph_donkey_baby_jesus_hg_clr
Welcome to the first of our Online gospels entitled, “Back2Basics in Matt”.Aware that the 4 gospels can sometimes get taken for  granted It is far to easy for  Yeshua`s teachings to become sidelined, annexed off as part of a larger new testament. Overshadowed by other books that have nothing to do with the teachings of Yeshua. Yet are given preference over the  4 Gospels. Is it not yet the time to get back to basics.Matthew means “A Gift from God” Our aim is to get Christians to think again with an open mind about their faith and what they truly believe and are able to act upon those beliefs in order to step out in faith. On the left we have the Jewish version of the Gospel of Matthew. Regarded by many is being the nearest and best translation.Whilst on the right there are notes written by me, Andy Phillips Where I will try to explain what this particular passage of scripture is trying to say. Sometimes I may ask you a question or two that might challenge your understanding yet will help to understand  it`s significance underlining Yeshua`s teachings. Our Story however starts with Yeshua`s  Mother Mary, and her relationship with God as well as her Husband Joseph. Right from the start the significance of foretold prophesy is made abundantly clear by Matthew. Andy Phillips
